Type 93AX Coaxial Separation Seal
John Crane’s Type 93AX is a next-generation coaxial separation seal engineered to deliver exceptional performance, reliability and efficiency, in high-demand compressor applications. Suitable for a wide range of applications in the energy and process industries, including challenging applications with high-pressure and temperature differences -25 °C ~ 180 °C. During loss of separation gas, the Type 93AX is designed to operate non-contacting for limited periods of time, until normal operation resumes. In case of a dry gas seal failure, the Type 93AX is designed to restrict process gas leakage for safer and more sustainable operation.

Type SB2-USP
The Safeseal Type SB2/Type SB2A is a dual-cartridge seal. Its double-balanced design ensures the reliability and longevity of the seal in the most demanding conditions. The Type SB2/Type SB2A seal is ideal for use with environmentally hazardous and abrasive fluids, most often used in pumps in pulp mills, minerals processing and other slurry duties up to 40% solids by weight and a solids hardness of 8 Mohs. The Type SB2/Type SB2A seal is widely used with other process equipment including agitators. Upstream Pumping seal face technology Adding Upstream Pumping seal face technology extends the life of the seal by combating severe-service conditions, including high-heat generation, low-lubricity and intermittent dry running conditions. By eliminating the need for a flush, USP technology nearly eliminates water consumption and decreases power usage.

Pump Seal Support Systems
With over 100 years’ experience in developing technologies that optimize rotating equipment performance, John Crane understands mechanical seals. We know that you need reliable seal performance to maximize process efficiencies while meeting production targets and constantly evolving, stringent operational requirements. Our expert engineers have designed a range of fluid control systems that create the optimal operating environment to enable the dependable performance you expect from a John Crane seal. No matter what the process fluid, from liquids to gases, cryogenic to boiling and abrasive to the purest finished product, our range of barrier fluid reservoirs, heat exchangers, abrasive separators and pump seal gas control panels support the most complete spectrum of industrial processes. Compliant with global industry codes such as API, ASME VIII and ASME B31.3, our systems can also be designed and built to meet regional specifications such as AD2000, ATEX, CE, PED, SELO and GOST.

Upstream Pumping
John Crane’s unique, engineered, non-contacting USP seal face technology borrows from gas seal designs to deliver a breakthrough in liquid sealing technology. The typical mean time between repair (MTBR) for traditional seals is three years, while USP seals are more than five.
