STROBL Pumpen’s wastewater pumps are robust, end-suction centrifugal pumps in horizontal block design or as vertical submersible pumps. They are suitable for industrial as well as municipal applications. Depending on the setup, the pumps can be installed dry, floodable, or wet. Horizontal versions are also available on base plates with a coupling motor connection. Impeller options include closed, open channel, or vortex impellers, with additional versions featuring front-mounted cutters. A key feature of the STROBL channel impeller is its large free passage (20–150 mm), allowing reliable handling of heavily contaminated wastewater and fibrous materials.
The medium is drawn in axially and discharged radially. Power is transmitted from the motor to the impeller via a pump shaft. The pump head is sealed with a mechanical seal designed for demanding wastewater conditions. Flow rate and pressure depend on the pump curve, impeller geometry, and system pressure losses, and can be controlled via speed regulation or bypass systems. These non-self-priming pumps offer long service life and low maintenance thanks to wastewater-optimized design.
Performance: up to 110 m head (~11 bar), up to 640 m³/h flow, viscosities up to 200 mPas, temperatures up to 120 °C, motor power from 0.37 to 90 kW, solids content up to 25%. Applications include municipal and industrial sewage, swimming pools, vacuum drainage systems, construction industry water recycling, and aggressive media in chemical processes. Sealing materials include NBR, EPDM, or FKM; sliding surfaces are made of carbon A or silicon carbide. Available materials include cast iron, stainless steel, bronze, duplex, super duplex, and special alloys.
