Multistage centrifugal pumps of the SKP series from STROBL Pumpen are end-suction pumps for horizontal or vertical installation. They are available in block design with lantern or baseplate design with coupling and can also be supplied as submersible versions. The multi-vane impellers with two cover disks enable high pressure generation and smooth flow. Custom versions are available on request.
The medium is drawn in radially and conveyed through one or more impellers to the central discharge outlet. Power is transmitted from the motor to the impellers via the pump shaft. Sealing is achieved using single or double mechanical seals, depending on the model. Flow rate and pressure depend on the pump curve, impeller geometry, and system losses, and can be regulated using speed control or bypass.
These pumps are not self-priming but can reach high pressures due to their multistage configuration. Performance range: up to 580 m head (≈58 bar), up to 470 m³/h flow rate, viscosities up to 150 mPas, temperatures from 0 to 120 °C, motor power from 0.55 to 250 kW, solids content up to 10%. System pressures up to 250 bar are supported.
Main applications include pressure boosting in process systems, chemical and petrochemical industries, water treatment, reverse osmosis, and general plant engineering. Their robust construction and choice of materials make them suitable for demanding conditions.
Seals use resistant materials like NBR, EPDM, PTFE, or FKM, with sliding faces in carbon A or silicon carbide (SiC). STROBL offers custom sealing solutions for challenging media. Pump housings are available in cast iron, bronze, stainless steel (V4A), aluminium bronze, duplex, super duplex, and super austenitic alloys.
