Chemical pumps from the manufacturer STROBL Pumpen
Horizontal, normal-suction centrifugal, in accordance with EN ISO 2858; versions compliant with API 610 are available
STROBL Pumpen’s standardised chemical pumps are horizontal, end-suction centrifugal pumps designed according to EN ISO 2858, with API 610 versions available. They are built either in close-coupled block design or mounted on a baseplate with coupling, making them suitable for demanding chemical applications. The impellers are multi-vane, enclosed by two cover disks; for difficult NPSH conditions, an inducer can be added as needed. Connections are made via EN 1092-2 or ANSI B16.5 flanges.
The fluid enters axially and is discharged radially by a single-stage impeller. Power is transmitted from the motor to the impeller via the pump shaft. Depending on the model, sealing is achieved through single, double, or cartridge mechanical seals—or optionally via magnetic coupling. Flow rate and pressure depend on the pump curve, impeller geometry, and system losses; both can be adjusted through speed control or bypass.
Performance data: up to 150 m head (≈15 bar), up to 700 m³/h flow, viscosity up to 150 mPas, temperatures up to 120 °C, motor power 0.55–200 kW, solids content up to 10% (depending on size). The pumps are not self-priming, and casing pressure is rated up to 16 bar. Main applications include chemical and contaminated media transfer in process systems—especially transfer and circulation lines in the chemical, coatings, oil & gas, and recycling industries.
Seals use chemical-resistant materials such as NBR, EPDM, PTFE, or FKM; sliding faces are made from carbon A or silicon carbide (SiC). STROBL pumps are noted for their customised sealing systems—even for challenging, solids-laden media. Available materials include cast iron, stainless steel, bronze, duplex, super duplex, and super austenitic alloys.
